Rabbi Jonathan Rietti is a descendant of the Sephardic leader The Ben Ish Chai and the son of the famous British actor and director Robert Rietti. Rabbi Rietti received his rabbinical diploma from Gateshead Talmudical College, England, after which he helped establish the now flourishing Kollel in Gibraltar, Spain.

Having received a master’s in education, he practiced for eighteen years as an educational consultant to parents of gifted children and those with ADD. In 2003, Rabbi Rietti received Montessori training, after which he established the Breakthrough Chinuch ™ curriculum, which dovetails Torah education with Montessori methodology.

Rabbi Rietti has authored over twenty-five lecture albums on topics including inner growth, health, parenting, and Jewish identity and draws upon his background in the film and advertising industries to entertain the listener while sharing powerful insights on love, happiness, and ‘emotional intelligence.’

His goal is to offer a “hands-on” curriculum — to complement the traditional Chinuch system — for teachers, schools, and homeschooling parents. To achieve this goal, Rabbi Rietti conducts teacher training, consultations, and live school presentations in the New York area and nationally under the umbrella of the Mishkan Yechezkel organization.

The Breakthrough Chinuch™ curriculum strengthens the child in Emunah, Tefila, Lashon Hakodesh, Chumash, and Taryag Mitzvot by creating a child-centric classroom environment and educational materials that children interact with “hands-on” and in multiple modalities.

Rabbi Rietti currently works for Mishkan Yecheskel in Brooklyn, providing teacher training in Al Pi Darko methods to schools in the tri-state area. He also lectures across the U.S. and for the Gateways Seminars Program.
